The Chihuahua is very small in size but very big in heart!  They love being with you.  It doesn't matter if you have just been gone for 5 mins your Chi is going to be very happy to see you when you return.  They can be a one person dog or a family pet. 

Health-

   The Chihuahua's health depends mostly on the breeder.

This is some of what we do to keep our babies healthy!  

*First you have to have two healthy parents.  You also need healthy bloodlines in those parents. 

*The mother Chi needs extra care while her puppies grow inside of her(The Best Food, vet visits, & more).

*During the birth we are there for our mothers!  We are there through the whole birth to help them if they need it!

*While the puppies are with us-

They eat well from mom and us.  They are fed a well balanced meal.  They are played with to keep their mind growing.  They stay with mommy dog until she lets them go!  We will never let a puppy go at 6 weeks!  Our puppies leave us from 8 to 10 weeks of age.  It all depends on mom and the puppy!

Do kids and Chihuahuas mix?

YES!  Chihuahuas can be wonderful family pets.  When You get your puppy you must let every member of your family play and pet your new member.  We breed for good temperament in our dogs to help the process.

Long Coat VS. Short Coat

Other than the look there is not much difference in short and long coats.

Short Coat-

Sheds year round, can't handle cold weather, seems to have a bit more attitude.

Long Coat-

Sheds only twice a year, is a bit tougher when it comes to cold weather, Seems to be a bit more easy going.

Chihuahuas are so small does that mean they can get broken bones easy?

NO!  Chihuahuas are small but they are very tough little dogs.  They are also very graceful.

People say Chihuahuas are yappy.  Is that true?

No!!!  These people that say this have never owned a Chi.  It is all in breeding and raising.  A Chi can be a very well rounded little dog.  They will alarm you when they think that something is wrong or someone new comes in.
